Yo, you're probably right. Back when I made this I just wanted to try and avoid making it too dainty or shapely. Even as it is though, it's not quite something that would drive a person insane to see, I don't think. Dunno if I could ever draw something so crazy XD

In a sense, Lovecraft kind of invented violent zombies with Herbert West-Reanimator. Now I feel William Birklin, or Wesker, may have been based off of him.

I actually haven't read any of his actual works, but I learned a lot about them and their style through short scary stories online. You're right about the smelly part, it's described as such in the visual novel many times. Thank you!

...I know you get swamped with requests but PLEASE consider drawing more of this type and a project based around horror.
The drawing itself is sublime.
This is the sort of horror that you would KNOW is there, in the shadows...in the dark and dank tunnels underneath an abandoned factory. There would be the soft suckling noises of it moving, the deliberate noises of a hunter cornering it's prey, in revealing itself one would feel this impossible horror that is beyond words, the tipping of a fragile human mind into madness.
Does it see me with it's quivering eye?
It's moving and things are sliding out...is it changing?
Metamorphosing?
Is it becoming more like me...as out of the red ichor come limb like appendages?
Is there a God who is good...for what deity could allow the existence of something so incomprehensible, so mind bogglingly profane and impossible?

: D I have another drawing of this monster sketched up (more like a direct fan art of the Visual Novel this time) that I'll color at some point, and yesterday I sketched up a more smooth and simple monster design of some generic dog creature that I'll probably color at some point.

Thanks! I think it subconsciously took from a few things. Some people said it reminded them of The Thing which is one of my favorite movies. The eye, many suggest is like a G-Virus monster, the tentacles look like they could be from Lisa Trevor, and of course over all a Lovecraftian.... thing.
