In "Rainbow Rocks", Twilight created a portal device so she could respond to Sunset Shimmer's distress call without using the mirror, which would require her to wait for a long time for it to become active.

Um...I'm not sure what you're getting at?  Why would this be a problem for Twilight to have the device, one that she built herself?  Why would the Crystal Empire get involved?

In fact, why would I be offended?  *I* didn't write Rainbow Rocks....

I just think its a plot convience so that Princess Twilight can take part in future EqG movies.  I don't think that the writers spent too much time thinking about it or any implications, and they certainly didn't want the fans to, either.

I'm not telling you to "turn your brain off and just enjoy the movie," I am just looking at your comment and it. Leaves me. Completely. Baffled.

The Crystal Empire would possibly get involved because of a patent violation or because the mirror was being kept inside of the Crystal Empire for a reason. Luna also had an issue with Pinkie Pie attempting to cross through the mirror (although she likely did anyway while no one was watching).

Well, if we're taking things literally, neither I nor Luna is God, so neither of us would have COMPLETE control if He got involved. I don't know what He has to say about this, but I worry about it sometimes.

But do you think Luna has the power to override the principle that the dreamer can do whatever he wants in his own dream?

Ooh, good question, I don't know. If she does have that ability then I'm pretty sure Luna would only reserve it for extreme situations. Nightmaremoon on the other hand would most definitely use it for evil

To the best of my knowledge Nightmare Moon is a separate entity feed by Luna's fear and loneliness.

In my head canon, Nightmare Moon is an ancient ruler of Equestria who was killed by rebels and the invading The Night dynasty, who rules over Equestria to this day. However, like Count Dracula, she was never completely destroyed. Legend had it that 1,000 years after Nightmare Moon's execution, she would rise from the grave and do anything she could to regain her power and restore Equestria to its former "glory". She did so according to legend and decided to possess Luna, the heir presumptive with a weak constitution, forcing Celestia to essentially perform an exorcism on her own sister in order to keep the country secure. For a brief period, Nightmare Moon was left stranded on the moon with nothing to do, but she somehow made it back and possessed Luna again. The Mane 6 eventually found the Elements of Harmony and performed an exorcism on Luna for one final time. My head canon also says that Nightmare Moon also possessed Sunset Shimmer and Sci-Twi, which explains their transformations into evil demons.

How accurate do you think that would sound?
