First off, great effort! I could see that you took time into this practice. He's got a cute face and a killer jawline. Few minor details here and there:1. Watch the eyes, one is sharper than the other 2. Cute smirk, but take a look at the right cheek that goes with it 3. This might've been an artistic choice, but is there a left shoulder? 4. The hair is really cool, but personally, I would sharpen up the locks so there aren't as many loose sketch marks. Also, since this is a shading practice, don't be afraid to be more dramatic. Some parts (like under the chin, hairs behind the neck, etc.) could be darker and go with an eraser to highlight the brighter areas (cheekbone, top of head, etc.) Otherwise, keep practicing! lets be real here. The project itself is okay a decent drawing. It's merely a sketch with nothing to show. This shows improvement over your work but still lacks the passion and details you could've put in. I get that this was practice, but really? A portrait? Not going to sharpen your skills if you stay within your comfort zone. So it's okay i guess but the graphite is pretty rough. Take a blender or a paper towel or even your finger and try to draw that roughness out. Contrast of both eyes is way out of balance. The hair just looks like a mess. The lips too, disgusting. The nostrils look like lazily drawn slits. I mean, this is scraping the bottom of the barrel.
