The fact that his mouth actually moved, shows that his body at least seems to retain some of it's normal functions, though it in itself is not necessarily a sign that a person will wake up, considering that it is possible for people in a permanent vegetative state to open their eyes and move their bodies without being conscious about their surroundings.However, the fact that it happened after that last ask indicates that there is still a connection between his auditory receptors and his subconsciousness, which means that he is aware of what is going on around him to a degree and can distinguish sounds like people using their vocal chord mechanisms. It could just be a coincidence, but I'm cautiously optimistic. Might I suggest trying to stimulate his senses, do things like talk about your favorite memories together, expose his to the smell of things he enjoys like his favorite food or paint, playing music is also good auditory stimulation. Such treatment has been known to help people awaken in the past, though each case is different...
*removes glasses and shoves whiteboard out of the room*
