Loved this animation! I teach freshman college English and had my students read "Statement"... so today I showed them your version 
Although... we watched the version on YouTube, and the last line wasn't audible there either. It may have been the fault of our audio equipment though.

One of my favorite lovecraft stories, but the animation confuses me when they execute him in the end. I know there is mention in the story about him saying they could execute him, but never mentions that they did. Carter goes on to be featured in many other stories, and this one being the first of his mention. Might just be a Lovecraft buff taking bias, but still enjoyed it all the same

Wow, I need to read some lovecraft. Your animation only added tremendously to it though. I also loved your voice for the protagonist, props to whoever he is. I liked how you were able to do color themeing without choking the atmosphere with purple. But above all, the artwork gave it much more suspence and darkness. GREAT JOB!

Great short. Not as creepy as the terrible old man, but definitely more polished and executed. The editing is fantastic and professionally done, as well as the angles of shots you used, like seeing Carter's hand and smoke rising from his head after being electrocuted. I tip my hat to you sir. Just one question. I watched both this one and the one on youtube and I can't seem to find the missing line. What is it?

Just one "but", speaking as a Lovecraft buff: The Statement... is chronologically Carter's first adventure, ocurring before The Dream-Quest... etc. Carter wasn't convicted for Warren's disappearance, much less executed for it
