Description
"There are some corners of the universe that have bred the most terrible things. Things that act against everything we believe in. They must be fought."--Patrick Troughton as The Second Doctor
The "cosmic hobo". I didn't care much for this Doctor when I was younger, but have grown more to admire him. He's quirky, and a little mad, which has more or less carried through to the rest. I think I like him best in the Three Doctors, as he joins One and Three to fight Omega.
The hardest part was coming up with a background, and even though its gone through a few versions, I chose probably his most famous story, "Tomb of the Cybermen". (Also a favorite of Matt Smith). And, what Troughton picture would be complete without his recorder in hand?
Now, onto Three which I think will give me some trouble....

Thank you! I love Doctor Who quotes. Although, I have to admit, I had to look up the earlier Doctor quotes. Nobody puts baby in a corner... Ok, not Doctor Who, but still good.

Sorry. A lot of the classic Doctors aren't my favorites and I don't know them as well. I grew up watching Baker and Davison. But wait 30 seconds and you'll hear me quoting Tennant and/or Smith.

Ah... that's ok. I'm glad I got to see classic Who and be a fan all these years. When the show came back, it's like I knew all the little secret things about his history.

Yeah, I guess it gaves you a plus and you can see all those little links with past-series. It does make an awefull lot to look at when you are New-Whovian. Well, in the same time I hope I'll never finish watching DW episodes .

I like that I know a lot of the history, but I don't think it necessary for newer viewers to have seen them. Like when 10 ran into Davros again, it was cool to know exactly why 10 and Sarah Jane reacted the way they did, but it also must be cool for the people who had no idea who he was because it was something new to them. It's also cool that you like the older ones, so that there are still a lot of "new" ones for you to look at.

Yeah, new-old ones. I wish I never see the end of it. (I'll probably never since there's also so much novels )

Brilliant... I have to agree, i do like B&W version more, but both are fantastic. Excellent work on the background. I think finding something iconic for each Doc is the way to go. Maybe Bessie for 3?

Thanks! I almost forgot about Bessie. I'll have to look into that. After I thought of putting the Tomb background in, I thought I should go back to Hartnell and put in the "I M Foreman" door.

Thanks. Lol. I wasn't going to, but since you are asking... [link] How does the "TV grain" look work?

Both versions look great, but I do like to see One and Two in mono (and with your TV grain). I always feel that his early selves should look mysterious, like they're from another time, which of course, they are.
Thanks for the referral btw

No problem on the referral. I figured it's the least I could do since I used you as a scapegoat for posting extra versions ( I was gonna do it anyhow). There is something about those b&w pics, I guess because that is how we know them. Thanks a lot for taking a look at these.

Wow, what a compliment and one I really appreciate! I absolutely love this show, so I don't mind at all if that makes other people want to see it. While its not for everybody, I highly recommend it. I think doing drawings is the only thing keeping me sane as the show returns at the end of the month.

I wanted to get into it, I watched a season with david tennant but i didn't get why they kept changing doctors or if he was the same character but different actors. I'm gonna give it a go again though

Well, one of the great things about DW is that you can pretty much jump in at any point. Every season it kind of starts over. I think its nice to know the history, but not necessary. If anything, the last season (season 5) is a good place to start as it is the beggining of Matt Smith's time, although David is great. Lol. The change in Doctors is part of his race. When near death, his body "regenerates" into a new one. Same guy, but his face and personality are different. The current Doctor (Matt Smith) is the eleventh. I tried to keep it short and not geek out on you, which is very difficult. LOL!
