If you do not mind my curiosity, what sort of brushes did you use for the trees in the foreground? The foilage reminds wonderfully of that of Keith Parkinson - and he is kind of difficult to reach for answers.

I don't mind questions at all. I really like and for the most part use Winsor and Newtow University Series 211 brushes. I like them a lot, and they not expensive. (Various sizes, from 000 to 6). I also use lots of small square brushes, no more than 1/4" size, but mostly 1/8" size. (For skies, those sizes are up to a couple of inches.) Those I use are whatever is on sale. I don't get expensive brushes with oil paints, as they get worn out fast. Watercolor, completely opposite...I use only the best brushes there, and they last a lifetime.

You got that right. Been using the same sable brush since 2005 - and it isn't even a major brand.

To say the least o.O Besides the scene itself, those are a lot of techniques on display.

Such a lovely and inviting scene. I particularly like the tree in the foreground and the warm, multi-hued clouds.
