Description
"Super Crusader," an 8" x 10" oil on canvas panel painting of the XF8U-3. Developed by Chance Vought as a successor to the successful Vought F-8 Crusader program and as a competitor to the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. Five were built, but lost out to the F-4 for the Navy contract.Related content
