One of my favorite photos actually -- I like thatΒ
his head is just touching the edge of the cement .
Which kind of breaks a photographic rule . --and no I was sort of behindΒ
an arch across the street . . . waiting .

Great play of lines and shadows. And the boy gives dynamics to the scenery .

Breathtaking photo - I notice that your work is always geometric to some degree - for this particular photo this tendency has led to an amazing play on diagonals, uprights, horizontal lines and a few curves

Thank you - I always liked this photo - nothing radical happeningΒ
( no factor - but a nice understated little scene
)
Β Interesting observation on the geometric aspects - I don't analyse them too often
- most of what I like is subconscious - but it's food for thought Jane ! Β Β

Great shot, Doug. At first glance i thought this to be a either a photomanipulation or a collage.
What a surreal scene...love it.
I also understand about unsung favorites...those shots that we fancy, yet they lack a widespread audience.

The composition of lines and shadows is what first drew me to this image . . . but the surreality of the scene in full view widened my eyes and made me smile. Excellently composed, Doug!
