Hi there!

When I learned about Inktober earlier in the month it was really exciting to join on into the fun! But alas, drawing every day can be difficult with working a full time job and the hustle and bustle of everyday affairs, hehe.

• An idea:

So, in typical Doodles' fashion, I realized it would be best to not only think outside the box, but to climb inside of it like a cat and really brainstorm! With the month already well underway, I realized what better way to do not only the remaining days, but each of them I miss was to take each Inktober theme and turn them into Halloween costumes!

• About the process:

Now, even this was not the simplest of plans, I needed inspiration and characters that were not simply my OC's, so to a giveaway we go! After a week of letting people "volunteer" their OC's, and a few self insert of my own, I was ready! Luckily, I had just enough spots available to add not only the mane 6, but Spike and Starlight as well!

• The costumes:

Some of these ideas were more difficult than others, and more than a few of you challenged me greatly with having to wrack my brain on a costume idea for the day's particular theme. A few examples of this were Blaze Valor's "Guarded and Nebula's "Jolt" themes, but there were several other's that really tested my creativity.

So, in the chance you cannot find yourself, or if you're unsure what I may have chosen, please feel free to ask me in the comments below. For the Mane 6 (and Starlight + Spike, I'll be explaining them briefly)

Twilight and Angular:
This one was really a test of wits on how to properly display the theme. Spent days trying to figure it out, and then it dawned on me; Geometry. So, I set out giving her a math wizard outfit that not only accomplished my goal, but is totally something a geek like Twilight would wear.

Pinkie Pie and Inflatable:
Also a toughie! This was not my first idea, or even my second. Instead, I delved into some older episodes to really try to get some ideas flowing. Eventually however, I settled on something a little bit more silly that wasn't quite a costume at all, but as something unexpected. A wacky inflatable arm mare seemed right up that alley!

Applejack and Breakable:
This was one of those things I had not originally expected for her, but it was quite literally the very last slot available, so AJ got the scraps. A Humpty-Dumpty costume just fit the theme perfectly, so that's what I went with!

Rarity and Toasted:
I secretly held out hope when I realized I'd have slots left over for this matchup, as a toasted s'more marshmallow horse just had to be a part of this pick. Needless to say, I was indeed excited when it became a reality.

Rainbow Dash and Drain:
This one was a doozy. Drain is such a difficult concept to design a costume around without it being fairly boring. So, instead of making it a costume, I thought of other ways to incorporate the idea, and thus Rainbowise the dancing clown was born.

Fluttershy and Weak:
This was also a challenge, as making a "weak" costume is just one of those things that really doesn't mesh well on paper. Having realized that with other themes, I instead chose a costume of a character who's often viewed as weak, and thus the Saitama One Punch Man idea stood out to me.

Spike and Starlight with Double:
Honestly, this was merely just so I could add both in if anything. Double to me spelt double characters, so Spike dressed up as Starlight just felt right.

•Final thoughts:

I just wanted to thank all that were involved in making this picture a reality. Between those who introduced me to Inktober, the few who helped motivate me to finish and every single wonderful individual who let me draw their OC's, this wouldn't have been possible without ya! Special thanks to my pal Floofy/Frozenfire/Shuuuuuuu for really sticking in there. The google docs page you whipped up was especially helpful!

I had thought to save this for Halloween, as it would be appropriate. However I will post it today as I'm sure many of you have been waiting to see your characters with nary a peep from me with just why I asked for them to begin with.

If there's an Inktober Category on DA, I'd love to know about it! I had no idea where to put it, so Halloween seemed fitting.
