Okay! It's the core group of characters from FFXII. I just did these because I'd already done 2 and thought it would be cool to paint the rest.You'll find Fran and Basch are already in my gallery as deviations by themselves, but Vaan, Penelo, Balthier and Ashe are new. haha, I had to cut off Fran's ears to fit her.
I loosely followed several FMV screenshots for reference as well as random faces found on gettyimages. The drawing and coloring was all done with a Wacom tablet using PhotoshopCS. The texture is a scanned gesso canvas with some underpainting.

What's great about your rendition of this team is how ya differentiated their faces -- I mean, c'mon! In the game, they look all the same (i.e. Japanese look) except for the skin color, hair style/color, etc. but overall, there's that sense of Japanese facial structure, even during the CG sequences. Kinda like anime, the only elements which defferentiate the characters apart are the hair style/color, skin color, eye color -- wooie!!

Balthier's gun looks almost like a gunblade, which makes me want to see him doing some badass gunblade shit now. D:

Laying a texture on a digital painting yields pretty much instant results. It's like really painting a canvas.
