Sorry guys, this is just me making shit up to pass the time. But one can dream, right IDW? *wink, wink!!*
Actually I had thought of doing this piece since I saw Animated Starscream's uber chin. I just thought to myself "I gotta do the battle of the chins!!!" and it kinda took a life of it's own after that.
I just figured after the Animated Seekers piece, I better kick it up a notch for the next piece. So how do you think I did?

This, just, wow. Even though I have only seen a few episodes of TFA and have never seen Evil Dead in my life, I like this piece. The glows definately pop out; I noticed a tiny bit on the Optimus Prime Chainsaw. And who doesn't enjoy the insane faces on Sari and Starscream? The teeth... The fingers seem a bit over stretched, but I don't actually know if they do that in the actual series. Good call on the lack of background. It keeps the focus on the details, like the bagged robot eyes. If this was an actual special, I'd both hate and love to hear the story behind it.

And yeah, I truly suggest you check out the Evil Dead / Army of Darkness movies. They are truly one of the most influential horror movies ever done. Once you do you'll see this image in a completely different context, and things like the teeth, claws, the book and the time warp whirlpool will make so much more sense.
And believe it or not, I actually have a story for it! Though it's a little out there, but could exist in both story universes. Of course, one can dream, LOL!!!

This is based on the Evil Dead / Army of Darkess movies. Starring god AKA-Bruce Campbell.
Check 'em out if you get the chance. One of the most influential horror series in movie history.

Well, the teeth were a challenge because I needed to show that these were Deadites, which have a distinct look to them, mainly on their eyes and teeth and their distorted faces. Like these...

But since transformers don't have teeth I needed to find a way to maintain the classic deadite look without compromising the Transformer. So my solution was to have the metal inside their mouths to distort and stick out to simulate the trademark Deadite teeth. I didn't want to make them pointy because Deadites aren't vampires, or cannibals, there demons. Plus it adds to the distortion of the face.
Hope this helps you understand what I was going for here.
