Here's a little something out of left field.Yeah, I'm into Bleach, and even though they were really pushing this fight, when it actually happened it was too quick for my tastes (yeah, I know, that's how it was in the manga too), but it was still pretty bad ass.
Figured I'd start doing some anime prints for Metro-Con in July.
So I guess more will come.

Very strong work. I mean, you can actually feel the impact and strength emiting out of this piece. Colors are superb and your style is very unique. Really good stuff.
I'm into bleach as well. My favorite characters are Ulquiorra, Grimmjow, and Chad. Its a great manga and all, but i kindda feel like they're just dragging it on and on now. In my opinion it needs closure.

It seems a bit non-Manga in a kind of way. It looks more like you have made some features cartoony/modern-american-comic-style on their faces especially.

Well, I'm obviously not a manga artist (my use of color proves this), but I have been influenced by both American and Japanese styles, so I guess you can say my style is somewhere in the middle.
In this piece if anything, I was trying to convey the motion shown in the anime, like an animation cell, which is why it's illustrated characters with a painted background and smoke and motion effects rendered in, not drawn in. But of course even anime fan art has to reflect my style, otherwise it'd be anyone's

Yeah, I sometimes look back at my old stuff from the 90's and just look at hot it's evolved from a very Jim Lee style, to more Madureira, to then ultimately non-existent shade lines in favor of coloring.
