Thanks! Glad you liked it1
Yeah, Vegeta could kick his ass. Although he is dead, and in that state a Shinigami would have an advantage. And hey, maybe Kenpachi can get his head out of his ass and learn Bankai.

Nah... he treats his sword like shit, which is why it's so beat up, and he doesn't know how to communicate with it. Hell, he doesn't even know it's name. It's just that he himself is so powerful he only fights with his own strength, and as far as I know he simply can't and probably never will be able to Bankai, which sucks for him.

well then he's no match for vegeta I think even if he matches him at super saiyan all he would have to do is go SS2 and he'd be done XD

So very...very superb!
The detail, the amalgamated altercation...the sheer power held by the both of them.
Tis astounding, without a doubt.
Thank you very much for the swell share.

You are very welcome. I admit not being too big into Bleach but, in just seeing it, it's very good.
DBZ, though, is the anime on which I grew up; One Piece is awesome as well.
^_^
But, yes, you are very welcome.

Hehehe, thanks!
I guess I'm too old 'cause I grew up on Mazinger Z, Gatchaman, etc...
I got into DBZ after college and Bleach... It grew on me (gotta love their opening credits).
Yeah... I'm a geek.

Hahahah, it's all good. I watch my share as well: Trigun, Fullmetal Alchemist, Berserk, Rurouni Kenshin (never finished it), Samurai Champloo (never finished it), Cowboy Bebop (never finished it), Ghost in the Shell (very good, but sometimes confusing), and even Naruto (mostly the early chapters, before he grew up).
Heheh, I'm a nerd as well. Never fully grew up on the whole "gigantic robot" aspect, though, until Voltron. Ronin Warriors was good, though, and I remember "Duke, the Ninja Wonder Boy."

Guess I'm not the only one addicted to Adult Swim.

Hahah, seconded. Grew up on that as well. There was an anime club on my college campus, so I saw some other ones there too: Tenju Tenge, GetBackers, Yakitate Japan, He Is My Master (to name a few)...never fully finished them, but I admit that they're very good.
Hmm...I wonder if The Boondocks count.

Meh... Boondocks is ok sometimes, and at times actually pretty funny when there not trying to be overly preachy or have some kind of racial or social commentary. I mean, does EVERY black show have to have some kind of angry social commentary about the fact that it's a black show? I mean, I'm Puerto Rican, but am I gonna create comics about how bad Puerto Ricans have it, or the racial struggle Puerto Ricans have to go through blah blah blah? Nah man, I just want to entertain.
But like I said, it's ok.

Heh, I admit to a middle ground of sorts. I don't mind the message, as I know it to be true at times; there's a point in it, so it's not always "dumb humor."
However, I DO like just sitting back and not having to think about things deeply. Sometimes, you just want to watch something cool and funny, but without having to have a moral jump out at you.
So, yeah, middle ground. I don't mind the senseless comedy, and I don't mind the deep messages, and a good measure of the two is nice. I give props, though, if they can entertain while still lightly, oh, so lightly, have a moral within; I can then think on it later, after I'm done laughing.
Gotta admit, though, it's pretty good having a show with black characters in it every now and then; not too often that they're around...then again, that's with many races, not just blacks.
But, yeah, tis cool, and I'm enjoying this chat with you. Heheh, gotta do this more often.

dovianax In reply to DMajorBoss [2010-05-22 08:32:50 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, I agree with having substance with my shows. My gripe if any is simply the observation that pretty much all black shows apparently have to delve into the preachy and social commentary in some way or another. From Fat Albert, to Chappelle Show, to Steve Harvey, PJ's, Martin and so on. As a matter of fact, thinking about it, the only "predominantly" black show that I can think that did not stereotype or weigh you down with some message has to be "In Living Color", and I think they succeeded because they put comedy before message.
Hehehe... yeah, I get caught up in chat rants every once in a while.

DMajorBoss In reply to dovianax [2010-05-22 23:20:50 +0000 UTC]
Ah, In Living Color was awesome; it was a favorite in the days I got to see it, as was Fat Albert. As a kid, though, I didn't notice the message as much as the comedy within; it came to me later, as I grew, but not so much in younger days. Still, you've a point there.
Heh, if I had to guess, it's probably a feeling where so few shows include blacks (unless it's to "even out numbers") that the ones that do have them want to get across the message that is often not given...which, in itself, can set up defeat if the show gets too preachy. Almost a Catch 22 of sorts.
And, yes, I like these discussions as well, from time to time.
