Jesus Christ!!!! Remember when I said I'd try coloring this with a diferent technique? What was I thinking!!!! What a pain in the ass!!! I'm sticking to good 'ol fashioned cell shading. Not that I don't like the result, but it was one of those things where the more I did, the more I saw was still to be done!!Oh well, at least I like it. But I'm leaving it to the color freaks!!!

It's a truly impressive piece of art, to be certain, but I can definitely see where you're coming from when saying it takes too damn long.
Some people judge coloring effectiveness only on the end result, not on the journey it took to get there. Easy for the critics, but clearly a pain in the ass for artists of all ranges.
If the technique isn't satisfying to the artist, if passion turns to frustration, and if the end result doesn't wholly justify the time invested then the technique just isn't as solid... even if the results do look amazing.
That said, excellent work, top notch, and professional quality all the way around.

Actually, the concept was from my parnter, who created the story. He hired me to design her and the rest of the cast, and he was so taken and since he had no money to pay me, he made me co-creator of Mercy. So after many designs and re-designs, there she is.
