My third cosplay, Tira from the game Soul Calibur III.

I wore this to Anime North 2006 on Saturday. Those familiar with the game are probably wondering about the noticibly absent weapon. I did make one but there was no room in the packed car to bring it with us. oh well!

ON TO THE COSTUME. This took a long time to make. I think I started in February, and finished the beginning of May. Thats because it had to compete with school (which included an art course, lots of hours for that), work, and fencing classes. Lets see, the wig I got on ebay 2 weeks before the convention (); the green slipper/shoes I bought at a dollar store and then altered a lot; and the socks I got at walmart. I had made a pair of gloves with the same purple material on the arms, but I lost them 2 days before the con and had to make new ones using a pair of purple gloves I found in my bench, hehehe.

I'm really happy with how this turned out! The only thing I would have changed/burned in rage would be the grieves (gray foam things on my legs, lol). I only brought like 3 safety pins with me because I lost my bag of pins in the house - BIG MISTAKE. The foam wouldn't stay up, and since there was only one safetly pin holding each piece up, every time I sat down on the ground, it would pop open; after too much walking, it would fall out or slide down. LOTS of stopping to adjust. Oh well, I learnt from that.
