Since it's the summertime, here are three new NiGHTS costumes based on different types of melon--watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew!Β It was so NICE to work with these color palettes~ ΒRelated content

How are you able to make different kinds of color scheme palettes based on fruits, treats, cake, etc?

I use stock/resource photos of the objects in question, and use the eyedropper tool in my art program to pull out tones

The key with the eyedropper, I find, is to use the brightest or most "saturated" tones in a picture.Β So if the eyedropper pinpoints a shade of red, but its a little too grey due to the quality of the photo, then drag the point on the color wheel to a tone that's a little brighter and less grey.Β It'll help you create palettes that are bold and bright
