My reference for this drawing was a screenshot from the Walking with Dinosaurs, Episode #4: "Giant of the skies" ending.

While making this, I created a small story in my mind, that could narrate what is happening on this illustration.. You can read this tale on the following lines..

Realization

The Sun was slowly reaching the sea. A hot and tiring day, was coming to its end.
This Ornithocheirus has been flying for hours. Her muscles were burning from the constant movement, her vision became blurry and her mouth was dry. She needed to get some rest.

On the vast ocean underneath, there was a small island. No trees were there, no plants and no animals. Just .. sand. She landed there. The soft and dry sand, was the perfect place for a long night sleep.

As always, she looked around a bit, to ensure that none is going to bother her. She paused. There was something. A black spot. It was moving. Is it the wind on some bushes? Is it an animal? The distance between the Pterosaur and that object was big, but she decided to go and check anyway.

The vision got blurrier, the feet were trembling. Her body was begging her to stop moving, but she continued. The thoughts started to get unclear. Everything seemed to be a dream or a vision, but it was real. She reached the object. The view was dull and so she shaked her head to clear her vision. And then she saw it.

It was just like her. The same color, the same size. But .. it was still. The wind was lifting up some pieces of the fur. They landed on the sand. She shaked her head again.
She couldn't tell them apart.
