Hey guys, hope this message finds you well during this ugly global pandemic.While these days the mood hasn't been the most creative or inspiring, I'm playing around with some new colors for an upcoming Windows theme.
What do you guys think about these colors?
Would you like to see a Windows theme based on these concepts?

I wanted to go lighter but then the white elements (caption btns and navigation bar) won't be very visible. And I also like the more muted/pastel kinda side of the color wheel but considering the bleak times we're in, I was thinking to bring a bit of color and maybe hope back in people's eyes.
I also have another suggestion for a future theme which I'll post later on today so stay tuned... you're feedback will be greatly appreciated

Thank you for your suggestion, Josh! I've tried like a million color variations (including yours) and wasn't sure where to stop, so I've settled for the ones in the preview.
The idea was to use a somewhat complementary color palette and since I always have a blue/orange theme, I wanted to move towards the purple space.
But I'm still not very happy with the results and at the same time I'm playing around with another pair of colors which I'll post as a screenshot later today and see what people think, so stay tuned for more

Thanks for the feedback! The idea here is to pack all of these in a single theme pack. The dark ones would be how the themes will look in Windows Dark Mode.

Pfuu... Haven't used bb in years. I still have my bbLean setup somewhere on an external drive.

The main reason I've dropped it was the new Windows taskbar that started in Windows 7 which gave me everything I needed: pinned apps that stay in their place when you open them. Now all I need it's on the taskbar in the shape of icons without taking extra space.
I couldn't find an alternative that works like this in bb and all the dock apps I've used had some kind of problem and inferior in performance compared to the default taskbar.
Now my desktop is clean while the taskbar is on autohide on the left of the screen. Perfect minimalism

Because I only need one bar and not a separate taskbar and icons, like I used to have on my old bb setup here: spring breeze
I also need on the same bar the system tray icons hidden, then the language switcher, then the clock, then the notification center icon.
So basically I need the Windows Taskbar replicated completely because I use every feature, which also includes adjusting volume by scrolling on top of the system tray, using the hover on the active thumbnails to quickly view a certain information in a window without clicking on it, then the start menu where I have pinned some apps and the weather widget.
As you can see my taskbar usage is pretty complex and I'm not sure I could do all this with bb, in exactly the same way.

Will give it a try when I get in the mood. Right now reducing the pandemic panic is my main concern. Can't believe how many people are dying each day here in Europe, especially in Italy and Spain. And now many of our fellow Romanian citizens are returning home from these countries.
God help us all!

Agree about the God thing. Was using it more like an ironic expression. We're about to explore the universe and at the same time we still have these stupid religions that are only holding us back, especially in the middle East, where the difference in civilization compared to the West is staggering (except for e United Emirates). They still live by these primitive religious rules and all because someone wrote a book some hundreds of years ago. Shocking stupidity!
And at the same time it's amazing how a little thing that isn't even alive, like a virus, can swipe the floor with the most advanced civilization in the planet.
I'm really hoping science will be able to pull us out of this before it's too late.
Scientists say this is not a manmade virus but it's weird how this little thingy targets a very specific age group, the almost useless, elderly people. Coincidence? Time will tell I guess.

There's a lot of weird stuff around this pandemic for sure! It seems the simulation exercise the Americans executed didn't do them much help since the US is pretty much in a chaotic state right now.
Now imagine what will happen when this virus hits hard countries like India or poor countries in Africa where the spread has just started. What will happen when most of the medical staff will get infected and won't be able to work? Today in my country a hospital closed with the everyone inside after the whole staff got infected.
Honestly, I don't see a silver lining here anytime soon
