Description Have you ever been abused physically or mentally by your family or loved ones? Do you have terrible luck in your relationships? Lack the social skills to meet new people? Are you awkward and strange, or have trouble fitting in with "society?" Well finally there is a saint that caters to your needs. Saint Malum, patron saint of damaged goods. With her loving guidance you will be flushing your prozac down the toilet and dancing a jig, perhaps not in that order.

Pilot ballpoint pen, chisel tip sharpie, red Prisma marker.

Disclaimer: Saint Malum is not recognized by any major religion. dpdagger takes no responsibility for the actions of people who flush their prozac.

Her hair is gorgeous. Really gorgeous. And I love her wing, and ear-ring. And, of course, the concept is marvelous.

chiseled sharpie? Ive never seen one of those! I love how everything is drawn! i dont know what i like more, the hair or the shirt. How do you do the crosshatching? ( i think thats what its called, the technique that you used on the shirt). do you have any advice you'll be willing to share?

Sorry it took me so long to reply, your comment got burried. The chisel tip sharpie has a flat angle cut tip so you can do skinny lines as well as fat lines. Advice? learn how to do hatching with a pencil first. The pressure you apply to each stroke determines how dark it is. So you gradually pull up as you move the pen across the paper, that creates dark to light in the same line. The faster you move the pen the lighter the stroke is. Then make another set of lines that flow in a different direction, but always make sure that the dark part of you lines are all on the same side to create the shadow. I hope that makes sense and helps you out some. If you need more help let me know and I will see what I can do. Thanks.

Dear Saint Malum. Save me from my melancholy. Pull me from despair. Stitch me up like you have so many hearts. Be the balm to my aching soul. May I find warmth in your cold breast. Bear my tears of blood for me. Match my pain and ease my sorrow. Amen.

Yeah I'm trying out one of those things that artists do. I think it is called "branching."

Lacework In reply to dpdagger [2005-05-04 16:13:57 +0000 UTC]

Branching... sounds intresting. EVen though I don't have the slightest idea of what that's supposed to mean. o_x

dpdagger In reply to Lacework [2005-05-04 19:12:28 +0000 UTC]

I don't really know what it means either, but I heard a real artist say it once so it must be important somehow.

Whoo! I think i've already met her! STUPID EX BF!!!*ahem*... I don't need prozac because I have coffee and a great new bf who is miles better than the last one! And I don't think i'm just saying that, but i'm not flushing either of them down the toilet!

I've gotta get me one of those pilot pens!

dpdagger In reply to Coffee-Shakes [2005-05-03 17:35:32 +0000 UTC]

You can have one of my pens if you like, but it it probably cheaper to go to the store, than to send one overseas.
