I'm snapping on the muscles of the torso. It's pritty cool, sometimes riven shows you some techniques which help you learn ( like listening to music) and how to hold the pencil. At the moment I'm modelling a 3D character for the Univeristy and this is a very good preparation and reference.
People seem to be impressed by what I'm doing.

veeeery long.
during summer break i was sitting on the dvd's for two weeks and i completed only two of the dvds. and now i have to do a lot of other stuff.. but i can combine the tut with my prjects, so i will finish dvd 4 soon hopefully.
np i'm happy to get some feedback at all. the deviants seem to look at it and some even download my stuff but they dont't like to comment (not good nor bad) or fave.

not really.
the gestures and poses chapters are on dvd 5.
i still hav to finish some muscle chapters (arms, legs, back...).
but i often practice drawing heads like an orc or a daemon and the formulas are really helpful.

do you always use the whole process of formula after formula or do just fluedly sketch?

in the beginning i allways used the formulas. but now it depends on hw precise i want to be. as you can see i have my references and i still look at them but not allways. but draw it all down (neat and clean) and keep your drawings as reference.
riven tells you a couple of important things:
- invent your own style and maybe your own rules
- look at photos or (better) join live drawing classes because we dont look all the same
- you can use the sketchy style after you have learned the pain in the ass basics (he does it too later)...
- draw draw draw to train your brain
