She's right! not only that, but the square root of 42 is 6.4 This means Twilight and her six friends PLUS Spike (who's only a quarter of their age .4) equalling 6.4 which is why 42 is Twilight's collective numeration, and the reason she's the main character; 42 IS THE MAGIC NUMBER! Well the explanation for her cutie mark representing her friends and such is old news it's been around since last summer, and some months ago on reddit someone else actually noticed that the points on her cutie mark add up to 42, (though I couldn't find the original thread to give credit and therefore had to make my own, (with two 12's and no 13,) ) which was when I originally came up with the idea. I only finally took the time too make this because I was avoiding studying for a final.

As to whether it was planned or not I would guess only the 42 during 'fall weather friends' was planned the others seem to obscure to be more than an awesome coincidence
