Heather's new blog! Everybody check it out! [link]Will I be doing all of the artwork for it? No idea. Heather's the one running the show, so she decides who does the drawings. I just did the first one for her to help get it off the ground.

Personally, I'd prefer her to speak like that in future appearances. Gives her a distinct personality.

Most fans feel that way. Though it's understandable that they didn't keep the old English speech pattern. It's a tad difficult for young children to follow and the show is intended for kids, after all.

Given that it's been established that a large chunk of the show's audience is now older than young children, don't see much of an issue.

But kids are still the target audience and are still the majority of the fanbase. Catering too much to the audience (especially a small portion of it) is never a good thing.

some of the pony tumblrs can go from insanely funny to grimdark in 10 secs flat..there is a tumblr for every pony mane 6 the alicorns and the background six not to mention the ocs lol.

Yeah, I'm not fond of the "grimdark" ones for the most part. There's only one that I follow and that's because I feel the artist actually handles the subject matter well, making it believable in the alternate universe set by the blog as well as occasionally poking fun at the fact that it's a psychological horror based on a children's show. The juxtaposition of well-handled horror and tongue-in-cheek humor make it work out well.
For the most part, though, I'm not generally fond of blogs that greatly change the world or characters they're portraying, which is why my wife and I both try to keep things as canon as possible in our blogs. The characters Vaudeville interacts with act just as they would in their source material and Princess Luna is going to act just as she normally would. Of course, there are the occasional exceptions for the sake of a cheap laugh, but that's just how cartoons are.

well cartoons are supposed to make pple laugh,but then again humans are a twisted bunch and will bring their own version of a character to light hence why there is a whole bunch of pony tumblrs.

i dont know i find some of the fanon stuff and ideas kinda interesting as it is a new way to look at your favorite character.

I like the stuff that doesn't deviate too far from plausibility. Pinkie Pie being manic-depressive? Plausible. Her actions seem to hint toward it anyway (though I personally think she has a mild case of it unlike people who think she's borderline psychotic because of it). Big Macintosh and Caramel as a gay couple...

well there are some fanon ideas that even confuse the hell out of me to be honest like the big mac and caramel thing and as for the pinkamena thing...well pple do tend to embellish as well as over exaggerate certain character aspects and ideas as I have said before pple are twisted fuckers.
