This is a very late response, but I figured I might as well properly answer your question now. Just recently it has occurred to me that Nathan Lane is the perfect voice for Vaudeville. Now I just need to become famous and influential to let him know about it so he can reject it all the same.

Initially, I'd imagined Larry Fine from the Three Stooges, but after doing that voice for him in a recording, I realized it didn't fit his personality at all. Probably something more like Groucho Marx or Bugs Bunny.
