I'm glad its helped!
Umm, well usually whatever it is you want to blur, you make a duplicated layer blur it then play around the layer attribute (multiply, soft light etc) until you get your desired effect, unless you just wanted to blur something directly.

draa In reply to ArmstrongCannon [2009-10-12 21:24:36 +0000 UTC]
no I do lineart in easy paint tool sai, because it has better control. But it's totally fine to do it in photoshop, you just need to be more patient

draa In reply to 100AnimeGirl100 [2009-04-19 22:44:25 +0000 UTC]
hmm can you explain in more detail you problem?
you can make new layers, by clicking the icon that looks like a piece of paper i believe.

rayquazagal In reply to 100AnimeGirl100 [2009-04-28 07:31:19 +0000 UTC]
...Ah, I know your problem.
You see, to keep their works clean when artists line art, they draw the lines of different parts on different layers so that they can color/shade easily without having to clean the outside of the lines.
All you have to is make new layers every time you line art (e.g. one layer for hair, another for skin, eyes etc.) C:
When you are done with that, you should click the eye beside the "Background" layer, if that is where your sketch is.
Hope that helps.

how do you do your lines computer or traditional? and if computer can you give me a tip how ?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
draa In reply to Scarlet-Songstress [2009-03-15 21:01:09 +0000 UTC]
my lines were done on computer xd, although i love the raw-ness of traditional lines >_>
i just inked in SAI with a 1pt size brush, if you don't have SAI, opencanvas works well too the pen tool....tips ..hmm
do you work with a tablet or mouse?

Scarlet-Songstress In reply to draa [2009-03-16 02:17:50 +0000 UTC]

draa In reply to Scarlet-Songstress [2009-04-19 22:35:23 +0000 UTC]
lol i prefer photoshop 7 over the new CS versions actually...hmm if you ink on PS, the lines are harder to get smooth..but not by much its patienceif you have the patience you can do anything, alot of ppl ink on photoshop to get that traditional manga inking effect, more rough and organic, just remmeber to work on a higher resolution if you want the piece to be high quality 400dpi or more

draa In reply to Kaiotk [2009-03-08 21:08:08 +0000 UTC]
so thin?? x_x hmmm i dont do anything special i use a 1 pt line when inking, just the default

Kaiotk In reply to draa [2009-03-10 18:06:21 +0000 UTC]
Ahhh, right You are a genius artist who can do that
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
draa In reply to Kaiotk [2009-03-15 20:30:03 +0000 UTC]
xD no, but i do feel that inking at 1pt is very tedious...cause the resolution of cg's are often so high TAT;
