Here is a "what-if" of Kovu with his biological mother, Sizani. He has no memory of his birth mother because he was adopted at an extremely young age, so this is what I imagined it would be like if Kovu was raised by her instead of Zira.

I dont know why but I love the theory that Kovu has some albino/white lioness genes that he may not inherit but his children would. I remember a few fan theories had this years ago and yea I'm in love with it.

This particular gal was adopted from . As soon as I saw her I knew she'd be perfect for Kovu's mother. I absolutely love her design.

Although Kovu doesn't inherit Sizani's colours... he DOES inherit her physique: scruffy cheeks, squared chin and larger body build. I imagined her as having a tough kind of personality and a somewhat naive way of thinking but she has a big heart and loves her family fearsome.

How did Zira come in the possession of Kovu? Well... that's for another time.
