Maybe giving into his sons wishes and visiting Kalypso's pet emporium was a bad idea...
Toby was on the ground petting and snuggling with a very lovely coatala as Nox watched. The father knew now wasn't the right time for a pet. The sheer adorableness of his son with the coat, mixed with the fact that Toby kept looking up at him with big doe eyes, begging him if they could keep her didn't help the fact either.
"I know you like her, Toby, but we can't being her back with us today"
Toby let out a loud whine, shaking his head as he shoved his snoot into the coats voluminous neck fur.
"It's so unfair!!!"

Nox bent down to pick up his son, Toby easily letting go of the coatala and smothering his face into his papa's soft fur instead, clearly pouting.
"How about this, we visit from time to time to see how she's doing. If she gets adopted, I'll go undercover and scout out the owner to befriend them so you can visit her as much as you want! How does that sound?" Nox smiled as Toby peeked up from his pout.
The young wyngling thought about it for a moment before smiling at his dad.
"Promise?"

"Promise." Nox replied with a nod.
