So here is a tutorial on getting the basic shapes for your helmets.

Basically what you want to do is look closely at the helmet you want to draw, I don't have all of the helmets posted here I am aware of, there may be another tut with the other helmets. Look at the helmet you want to draw, take a screenshot and see if you can make some basic shapes out of it, always be sure to study your subject. I have pulled basic shapes from the helmets above. And as it may be easier to just draw the helmet itself without using the shapes, Try the shapes if you want to, I myself do not use shapes to draw helmets. Or anything for that matter.
