Meet Achillies. He is a Gladiator Caracal.Time; About 4 hours

Species : Caracal
Personality : Loyal, Stubborn, Protective, Cocky, Very Clever, And he has a hard time trusting others, but is very trustworthy.
Background: Achillies only remembers bits and pieces of his past. He remembers his father being a great Gladiator and was one of the best fighters. Before he died in the Colluseum, he gave his son, who was only one at the time, a pendant that had been in the family for generations. Therefore he is never without it. His armor he wears quite often, mainly the chest plate. He believes in always being ready. After his father, Priam, passed away, he buried him and then began training to be like him. But there is a huge gap that is blank from age 1 to 3. He had fallen off of a cliff fighting off a wild wolf, which is where he got his scar and he had hit his head several times falling down a cliff. That is the last thing he remembered. Until he met a Serval named Icarus and he told him all about the Gladiators and He knew that was his destiny. The yellow mark was on his fathers armor, so he put it on his. Using it as a mark of honor.

= Respect Icarus He was the one that found me wandering close to the Lightning Empire territory. He approached me and told me all about the Empire and I felt at heart that there was where I was supposed to be. It was my Fate to be a part of my new home. He is always there for me when I need him. I feel I can trust him, even though I do not trust easily./ Apprentice: "Cato is a young female mountain lion that I have been assigned to as her Mentor. I am honored to have been chosen for this high responsibility and do not plan on letting anyone down. She has high hopes and potential of becoming a fine Gladiator one day. I have a feeling things will go smooth with her and she will excel in her training. She has demonstrated fine attributes of a Gladiator already, more than any one-time apprentice in my opinion."

Athena of Ice Empire "Ahhh Athena, my one true love. I know she and I are forbidden to see one another being of different Empires...but...I have never felt this way and I know deep down I love her with all my heart and soul. She brings out the kindness in me that I never knew I had. I know not what will become of us. But I hope we can find a way to be together peacefully between Empires. I would die for her and her me, but I am also loyal to my Empire. It is so confusing. And with us being of different species complicates things some, but my main worry is being without her."

Achillies was surprised at her reaction of this situation. She was laughing and jumping like it was a game. "Do you not realize how dangerous that was? That you or I could have been hurt or killed! Now I am glad your alright, but I suggest you take these things a bit more seriously." Achillies scowled to her. No smile crossed his face, only a look of relief. He hoped he had not offended her, but those were the facts and he wondered if she truly understood what being a Gladiator was all about.

Sophronia looked at him unusually upset, "I do not care what happens to me. This clan can survive without a weak little Fossa like myself. Now, the clan needs someone like yourself, strong and iron-minded. They don't need me feeding off of their strength." Her eyes were clouded with sadness, "I know that I am weak. And I think everyone else knows this also. I appreciate your concern for my wellbeing."

Achillies looked at her sad figure and sighed. "Your not weak, if you had not distracted that wolf the way you did...I would not have been able to get in a clean kill. Look at me!" Achillies demanded, looking into her almost tear filled eyes. "YOU ARE NOT WEAK! Every Clan needs every member, no matter the size or strength. Don't let ANYONE tell you different. You did well." Achillies finished his words and sat down in front of her, waiting for her response.

Sophronia bit back the tears and looked at him sadly. Her lip bled from biting it, but she played it off that it was wolf blood. She leaned into Achillies and closed her eyes, "You may be rough on the outside...but you're my only friend." She kept her eyes closed and didn't move an inch even though she figured it was probably freaking him out.

Achillies was surprised of her leaning into him...it was new to him and he liked it. He slowly lifted his front paw and patted her on the back. "Hey, it's alright. I'm here. And your my only friend at this point as well. Cry if you need to, don't hold in anger" Achillies said to her in a whole new tone, a caring tone. He closed his eyes and thought of his father. And how much he had taught him, sadly compassion was not one of them.

She let herself fall into him and cried a little. It was nice to hear the change in his voice. "Thank you Achillies," she whispered. Never in one day had she ever felt so many emotions in one day. Her long tail wrapped around her and brushed against Achillies.

He was happy for a moment, to have made someone else happy. He squeezed her tight for a moment then let her go. Achillies cleared his throat and brushed his chest fur down back into place. The sun had set and it was getting cold. Both the cat's breath could be seen as they breathed. "It's getting late, guess you better get to the den...and uh...I'll see you in the morning, I have guard duty again on the North border." Achillies said to her, his eyes half closed as he was getting tired.

Sophronia wiped her eyes and nodded her head. "Yeah, I'll see you in the morning," her face had a look of happiness to it. "I just have to hunt in the morning," she added over her shoulder.

"Hunt? When I am finished, I only have half a shift, could I...go with you?" Achillies asked shyly. "I haven't hunted in a while and I really love the thrill of it. I begin training a new apprentice soon, ummm, Cata is her name." Achillies half smiled at his new friend, and hoped she would say yes to him accompanying her hunting.

Sophronia turned and smiled at him, "I would like that." She was halfturned around and her eyes were shining in the moonlight. "An apprentice, that's exciting." She had never had an apprentice but was hopeful that one day she would.

"Thanks. Goodnight." Achillies simply stated and headed to his den. Inside he lay in the back where it was warmer and crossed his massive front paws. He looked around his den for a moment and took in a goof scent, making sure it was safe to sleep. He sensed nothing. So he lay his head down on his paws and within a few moments, was asleep.

Sophronia walked back to the gladiators den and went to sleep for the night. In the morning she woke and put her armor on, looking around to see if Achillies was up yet.

Achillies was up before anyone else and doing his duties. Full gear, armor gleaming in the sunlight and him looking very sharp. He was making sure no more wolves entered the Lightning Empire. He was seen talking with the leader and then he saw Sophronia walking towards him. "Excuse me,sir. I will inform you of any findings." Achillies bowed in respect to the Lightning Empire Leader, Abolia, and then began to walk towards her. He was eager to go hunting, and he had been told that he could be released from guard duty early to go hunting.

Sophronia smiled at him, "Are you ready?" She loved hunting, she was quick and her tail gave her the ability to hang from trees. She was an amazing treeclimber, she even caught a deer while hanging upside down from a tree. She had been perched up in a branch when it walked under and she swung with her tail and bit it's neck.

Achillies nodded and they began to head for the hunting ground. "Do you hunt with all your armor on?" He asked her, for some did not, they felt it got in the way. "I do, you never know when something could happen. I feel in the mood for Venison today. Let's find a nice Buck. Know where any hang around?" That was about the most Achillies had said at one time since she knew him. Which was good, it meant he was beginning to trust her and to him, Trust was very important and hard to earn from him.

Sophronia smiled and nodded her head, "I like to hunt with it on." She padded out of camp, "I love venison. They hang out over here usually," she said while pointing her paw. She climbed up in the closest tree and looked out over the branches to see if any deer were there. "I see some a little ways up. I'm gonna stay in the trees to help you," she meowed down to him. She jumped from tree to tree with the help of her tail.

Achillies kept her insight and soon he too smelled the deer, not far now. He began to drop into a stalking position and being as stealthy as possible in all his armor. He was at the edge of the clearing, not detected, but then a gust of wind caught his pendent and it let out an echoing clang. "Shit!" he cursed under his breath as he watched the deer take off in alarm. He darted out after a buck that he saw limping. "Perfect." He said to himself. He got closer and when he was in range he jumped, aiming for the top of his back. But the deer turned and one of his antler prongs went through Achillies shoulder. The buck flailed and threw him aside. Achillies groaned in pain, but got up and went after him again. This time he had him cornered. He hoped that Sophronia could distract him like she did the wolf. His shoulder bleed heavily, but he showed no pain on his face.

Sophronia shot herself out of the tree and hit the buck square in the side. She latched on with her claws and bit it's neck. She waited until it laid to the ground and took it's last breath. "You bastard," she said loudly after ripping her teeth out of it's neck. She ran to Achillies and began to look over his wound. "I'm so sorry," she whispered with her head next to his. She nuzzled him until he could walk a little better. "I'll take you back," she said, her mouth was covered in blood and her eyes were filled with worry.

Achillies veered away from her. "No, it was my own fault. I can..." Achillies suddenly got dizzy and fell over from loss of blood. There was no way she could carry him. He was still conscious and forced himself up, they were not far from the camp. "I...can carry...the buck." he said stubbornly. But she knew it was only a matter of time before he fell unconscious or worse. Achillies stubborn nature would not let his pride lower. He latched his mouth around the bucks throat and with what little strength he had he tugged that buck to the edge of the camp. That was when he could not go any further. Blood was still steadily flowing out of his shoulder and another laceration that was hidden under his armor that was actually worse than the visible one. He dropped the buck stood tall, then got lightheaded and passed out.

Sophronia helped drag the deer to camp. Once they were at the edge of camp she saw him teeter on the ledge between concious and unconcious. She dropped the deer and wrapped her tail around him, being careful not to stab him with her knife tip. She pulled him into her with her tail and walked his body into camp. Her teeth buried in his neck and her tail trying to keep him somewhat off the ground. But, he ended up dragging partially because of his size difference. She laid him down carefully and ran to the healer.

Achillies stayed where he lay. While out cold he dreamed that he had died and was floating over his body where he saw everything going on to his body. No matter how loud he yelled, no one could hear him. He looked at the wound he had got and knew it was bad. All the blood. Would he make it?

Sophronia ran back with the healer and was standing beside his body. She was on the verge of tears as she watched the him being busily worked over.

Achhillies had lost a lot of blood and the healer was not too convinced that he could be saved. But special herbs and plants were put on the wound to stop the bleeding. As the healer was putting on these herbs, was when the second would was discovered. The healer quickly took off Achillies armor, and saw that this wound was the worst one. The healer then placed pressure and dressings to this wound and the bleeding slowed. But Achillies was not conscious yet.

Sophronia put her head on his, "Everything will be alright. It has to... you're my only friend." She was sobbing by now and was shaking beside him. She felt it was her fault, if only she had been with him instead of in the trees.

The healer looked at her and shook his head. He was not sure he would make it, but he carried him to his den to re cooperate. The healer had done all he could. "Bring him water and some fresh meat, he may awake soon. The bleeding has stopped, but he has lost a lot of blood...I am sorry I could not do more. Let us pray he makes it."

Sophronia nodded and grabbed some meat for him. She layed beside him and tried to sleep, but each ,move he made woke her. She waited patiently for when he would wake and tell her he was ok.

Hours passed, with little to no movement from Achillies. Sophronia was starting to think she had lost him. Just as the sun was about to rise, he stirred and moaned. He slowly opened his eyes and then his head. "Ohhhh." He groaned as he tried to stand up. But he couldn't because of his injuries. He then noticed that she was still with him. "Have you been watching over me all night?" he asked in a raspy tone.

Sophronia nuzzled him excitedly, "You're ok!" She purred and rubbed his face with hers happily, "I knew you'd be ok! You had to!" She had just been crying so her face was wet. "Well we are friends."

Achillies lifted his good paw and wiped her tears away. "You were crying over me? Why?" He had never had a friend or have anyone care for him at all really. He decided that it would be best for him not to stand for a bit. Man did his shoulder and chest hurt. He was a bit groggy. But once he saw the food, he ate that quickly, and then cleaned the blood he could get off of him. He was tired now and wanted to sleep.

Sophronia leaned into his paw as it wiped away her tears. "You're my friend of course I care," she helped him to lay down and licked the blood from his fur. She layed beside him, "If you need anything tell me."

"I really appreciate it...I've never had some one look out for me. Thanks." Achillies said and laid his head down slowly and drifted to sleep.

well, how do you do them, or draw them, you know how do you show as an active member, cuz I have been rp'ng with someone all day as far as that goes. Where are they listed and all that. When they say your the guard, your doing the hunting, what do you do?

They're called assignments.
Once in a while the leaders of the each empire will make a new journal so keep your eyes on that. Only assignments can keep your character alive, not RP'ing. each time you skip an assignment you get a death strike. gain 3 death strikes and you're out, it's game over. Your characters isn't in the empire anymore.
It's all listed in the journal they make, and what your job will be.
It can be a simple sketch just to save your butt, but the more you draw ( BG, shading ext) the more points you gain. And the more points you gain, the more powerfull your empire will be
