Here's the updated app! With brand new artwork that better reflects their designs haha Pretty pleased with the outcome of this.

Wrote a little bit more history for the pair since it was super vague before;
Chess was orphaned as an egg and born in a daycare where he was raised by a strict Kangaskhan. He was always very outgoing and not good with boundaries so he was never adopted, but was happy anyway. As he grew older he decided he wanted to see the world and become rich. Learning magic tricks, he bid his orphanage family farewell and left. Not long after his journey began, he met a recently heartbroken Charmander named Solitaire and decided he could use an assistant. Despite Sol's protests, he tagged along and they became close friends. Chess later found out about rescue teams and decided he wanted to be a Hunter. His ultimate goal is still to get rich on his magic tricks, though.

The son of a Charizard and Feraligatr. Because of his father he has a natural tendency to enjoy water and loves to swim. He has three brothers and a sister who he loves but always feels different too as they have more aggressively playful natures like their father. He met a fell in love with a beautiful Tropius who he thought was way out of his league but she came to enjoy being with him too. He was happy until she decided she had grown tired of him and left him for another mon. Sol was left heartbroken and now just wants to prove himself worthy of her love. Chess manages to pull him out of his passive shell a bit and he agrees to join the Hunters with him.
