Description
Basically this is just to better explain the 'Malefor is Ember's Daddy' thing. So the pink dragon there is Ember's Mummy. I think I'm gonna call her Flarina.
When they were growing up Malefor was a bit on the...nerdier side or something and was pretty smart. Flarina was a bit of a gold-digger/massive flirt and a bit shallow. The only thing that stopped her from wanting to get with Malefor was him being a nerd, otherwise she would've been all over the purple dragon. Malefor liked her pretty badly tho.
After being rejected by Flarina, Malefor swore to become the greatest purple dragon to have ever lived and studied hard to master every known, and unknown, ability. The powers he learnt soon made him become arrogant and nasty and he refused to listen to the Guardians when they warned him to stop. At this point, Flarina decided to re-evaluate him and began to hang around him a lot. Malefor had stopped wanting Flarina by this point, only wanting more power. But after becoming the Dark Master he pretty much used her for his....needs. He never intended to have any children at the time tho.
Flarina gladly consented tho was angry after realising she was being used. After laying her eggs she went back to Malefor to settle things and was never seen again (Malefor didn't kill her. He still uses and tortures her as 'punishment' for not accepting him when they were young. He's nasty now so it's ok xD).
When Malefor made a raid on the Dragon Temple, he not only intended to destroy Spyro's egg but also to find his children so that he could have some heirs. All but Ember's egg was destroyed, with Ember's egg being taken to safety by the Guardians. Malefor catches a glimpse of her at some point after she had hatched and knew she was his daughter because she looked like Flarina. But he had his small army of kidnapped baby dragons now. He no doubt told Flarina about their one surviving child, just to spite her.
...........uh more than I intended to say there but meh. MALEFOR IS A DADDY

Well, I must say I'm impressed with that. That is one possible scenario. I like how you had the story tie in to the Legend of Spyro trilogy. But I really don't know how I feel about Malefor being Ember's father. But that's just me, I've learned not to hash things like that because it's a fan thing. To me, it just doesn't work well.

Huh, to me it makes perfect sense: it explains her desire for Spyro's affection and mild obsession with him. (since her father would probably only see her, at most, as a tool to be used.)

I forgot I even posted that. Β My point stands the same though. Β It's a fan thing, so I'm not going to question it.

True, you are welcome to your opinion and I respect it. It's just that it makes for an interesting train of thought though and it's somewhat more original than Spyro/Cynder is related to Malefor by blood.

The game never once said Spyro or Cynder were related to Malefor by blood. Β They're not even related at all from what I've gathered.

No, no I'm talking about the fan idea that Spyro or Cynder is Malefors child like Luke is Darth Vaders in Star Wars.

Well I don't count fan fictions as canon, and you shouldn't either.

I don't count them as canon I'm just saying that in quite a large number of fanfics on ff.net the authors make Spyro or Cynder related to Malefor despite the fact that they have nothing in common with him.
