ive always loved how some artists alter the art of cards, making some cards textless with extended art much like the official DCI rewards cards in MTG. then i got to thinking, how hard can it be? so i took a common dark hole from one of the early starter decks and decided to practice. OMG, im so in love with how this came out! i used acrylic paints, black green and white. i trimmed a small brush with scissors down to a point so i could do the details. then i sprayed it with lacquer finish and polished it off with a drop of vegetable oil.Related content

This is beatiful, and I think it's a shame you can't play these cards (extended so much that there's no info) in tournaments

The lacquer spray protects the paint from water or smudging, it basically locks it in and seals it. the surface of the card is a little sticky and can get fingerprints on it after it dries, so if you put oil on it, it will make the surface nice and smooth and glossy. it is just a few extra steps in making it look much nicer

I've seen one's like this much better done, showing the description.
It's called 'extended art' not 'cover the whole card and make it look lame'.

wow thanks, im glad you like it. but i have to disagree with you, i like it better without the text, hence why i made a TEXTLESS dark hole instead of an EXTENDED ART dark hole. there is a difference ya know
