colored version of this [link]...I don't like this. Too much white. But it's not my fault it's all Katsura Hoshino's fault for making her character so black and white! Heh anywho any suggestions on making this pic less...boring?
Oh another major annoyance is that when I drew this it was when Allen's new innocence form first came out and it didn't have many references so I drew it wrong. The innocence is a cape! *stares*

hmmm, I'm not sure exactly how you'd do this with photoshop, but when I use pencil crayons I've found that if you put a light layer of blue or red under the black, it makes the black look less... bland? and more alive... or something. maybe try putting a layer of blue underneath all the black spots, and then make the black just slightly transparent. I don't know, I'll experiment with my program and see how it works out

It's not the black I'm worried about. Though on the other computer there was a lot more texture on Allen's coat. Hmm ah well. I'm finished with this piece.

well I just meant it would make the picture less "boring" as you put it if there was a little bit of colour to the black. same with the white actually, a little bit of blue is good for shading white. lol. anyway... yeah, you can't really see any texture on his coat at all.
