Probably around last year, I finished reading the first 101 chapters of the Beastars manga (I still need continue from there... I'm, like, still on chapter 102 lol). Chapter 82, which features Legosi's vision of Moth-san, is probably my favorite chapter of the manga thus far.

For the longest time I've been wanting to draw a piece inspired by this chapter. I finally got the time and inspiration this week. ;u; I interpreted Moth-san as a Silkworm moth (Bombyx mori) since the larva in the manga artwork seemed to resemble a silkworm. And Moth-san seemed very fluffy. This artwork is also meant to be sort of parallel towards my Sleeping Instinct piece.

I wanted to finish this piece before Beastars' second season released on Netflix, but it took a little longer than I expected. Thank goodness for Krita brushes (specifically the starfield brush) because I finished this faster than anticipated at least.

Either way, I can't wait to see how this scene is interpreted in the show adaptation.
