Description I haven't played RWBY Eclipse but the Mutated Grimm look really cool tho.
And Creeps (or... the Creep?) are my favorite Creature of Grimm from RWBY so this was a cool combo.

Just a stress-relief flats drawing I wanted to do. First deviation of 2018!

Scary-looking, but still pretty cool-looking at the same time. Though they are pretty dangerous since they explode on contact like a live dynamite.

I remember this asshole from Grimm Eclipse. Groups of these guys would always crowd around me in Merlot's lab, and when I used a charge attack they'd all explode and kill me. I'll give 'em two things. They're badass and incredibly annoying.

I haven't played the game yet, but thanks for the heads up. I just wanted to draw this lil guy since I like Creeps, and the Mutated Creeps looked cool so yeah.

It would be interesting seeing other species of Grimm around Remnant. Being the small hunch with big heads from Vale and these might be from Vacuo or Mistral.

Well, technically no grimm have are native to any kingdom for they are all born in Salem's domain. This specifically is not a fan-made creep from a specific kingdom or area, but rather a canon variant of a normal creep when put under artificial effects. These things were actually made by someone who was fairly relevant in the destruction of Mountain Glenn.

It is just a thought about what might happen if Grimm are native and have species around Remnant. Most like in other media like StarCraft with the zerg and the primal zerg.
Something like those who Salem creates and those which, by Remnant hostile nature, are natives.

I honestly think it's overdone, especially considering we don't even have enough fan-art of just normal canon grimm, just seems a little hasty doesn't it?

More Grimm in general would be nice, in my opinion. The show has them as the main antagonizing force and should be feared, but they'd rather focus on Salem and more of the commonly known Grimm for the most part. Since RWBY is set to travel to places beyond Vale and Mistral, I suppose we have to hope the other species of Grimm would be seen more. Β

It would be interesting if they show Grimm that are not Salem creations but more focus on the hostile nature of Remnant. After all, they are creatures who feed on fear. And fear had existed.

And furthermore, species of Grimm. Like in normal nature.
There are many different species of bears, ravens and boars; depending on the geographical area they live.

DraconGem In reply to RuneKerianDrake [2018-02-07 06:25:06 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I agree! I want to see more Remnant wildlife. We're referenced to regular animals existing like crows, ravens, and dogs, but seeing more wildlife would be cool too. Too bad the writers are just... not so good at world building, among other things.

Well, there are certain "hierarchies" of Grimm like the Alpha Beowulf and Ursa Major. I suppose location could be implemented for these sort of higher breeds to be seen just so something makes a little more sense.Β

I think the whole point of the creeps is to show that some grimm do not have animal equivalents, as mention in the grimm WoR, this is also talked about in the director's commentary for vol 2 in how they're not suppose to actually allude any existing creature. But yes, this is a very badass and evil looking creature, they're very hard in Grimm Eclipse

I'm unsure if Creeps are based on dinosaurs, but they are pretty bad but rad creatures tho.
