Description "What a well-stocked pharmacy." Hovanush remarked as she stepped into the spacious room, hefting a sack of medical papyri.

"We'll soon make good use of these materials in practice, won't we Tan? ...Taniel?"

The boy didn't answer immediately, as he was preoccupied with a furred form sitting on the table.

"Seems we already have a visitor, sis. Whose is she?" He said, smiling. Hovanush walked towards them.

"That's Pharaoh Hassan's cat, I believe. Come, I still need your help getting us settled in our new home."

With that, she went off in search of a place to unload her cargo. Taniel leaned close to the cat.

"Don't worry, we can play later!" he whispered.

"Taniel?"

"Coming!"

Yeah... I kinda pulled out the stops with this one...
and yes I went back to traditional. SAI was not being my friend on so much detailing. BUT IT WAS STILL A LOT OF FUN XD

So yeah, here we have Hovanush and Taniel in an Ancient Egyptian AU/setting. Hova's a doctor. Taniel...... I dunno what he is, aside from her little brother. I know both of them look a little ornate here, but I guess I got carried away with the Ancient Egypt-ness of it all

and yes, I forgot the KOHL. I feel so ashamed but I am NOT going back and redoing this. They're foreigners, and they're just getting settled so IDK maybe they didn't get kohl'd up yet. (must...resist...making...Russia joke...)

Researching all the info about ancient egyptian doctors was really cool. They had a whole lot of remedies and tools and practices that were sometimes half medical and half magical
And they had prosthetic things for everything. And I do mean EVERYTHING Most common examples were wooden foot and toe prostheses, which you can see in box to the left.

I put all sorts of amulets and medical tools in here. And my CANOPIC JARS make a cameo (remember them? [link] ) There's some shabtis and ritualistic tools, like a Was scepter, an ankh, and a wedjat eye; and lots of bottled medicines and dried medicine ingredients hanging above. Yes, SotC reference FTW xD

There's also a Bes jar, which is what ancient egyptians used to remedy small children and babies. They put milk and such inside it and Bes, who is a guardian of children blessed the mix, and then they administered it to the child. I suppose Hova will make a gift of it to the good Pharaoh and his wifey once they have a child

The perspective in this pic is utter crap, I know. That's supposed to be a doorway behind them with a columned walkway outside. Colored with Prismacolor Markers. I added the texture and the hieroglyphics on photoshop. The glyphs say Hovanush Gasparian and Taniel Gasparian on top and bottom respectively.

OK OK OK I'm done, you survived my wall of text.

Yuppers, everything but the texture, the eye-lights and the hieroglyphics. Used photoshop for that. Traditional I find much less annoying to make than digital, at least for me. I LOVE using Prismacolor markers since I grew up with marker as my default medium, and Prismacolor is probably the best brand I've ever used. Best, but expensive @A@
And thanks~
