Shaya Chuquipoma was a weak girl, even when she was very tall, but was brave. Her name Shaya in quechua means "The one who is resilient" and her second name "Warrior cougar". She was always proud of her ancestors and her native heritage.
Her parents were worried because Shaya was always ready to aid her friends and sometimes put herself in risk,in order to make that.
When she was 14 at school she met Franzy, when the giantess saved a group of students from the attack of a powerful and hairy creature. It seemed some kind of monster and Shaya thought it was wrestling with Franzy, when in a moment of desperation, the thing decided to attack the school, trying to distract the heroine. Whatever it was the reason, the monster was hit unconscious by Franzy, then tied with some metal pieces that were like putty on Franzy`s hands and later a group of vehicles came to retrieve the thing. The students were scared but astounded to see the lean and muscular giantess, who stayed a moment to calm down the youngers. Shaya hurried to move closer and when the adults took the young group far, it was Shaya the one who dare to touch Franzy and talk to her.
The young girl asked for advice about being a super heroine,and the advice was first to study and be obedient to her parents. Then Franzy left. Shaya was a bit bother about that, but her decision was to work out and be the stronger she could.
Years passed and when she was 25 was a strong young woman, trying to be the closer to her heroine. She loved children and became a teacher, moving out to the Capital, always remembering what Franzy said about being obedient to her parents,who always supported her daughter. They felt better to see how their weak girl turned stronger.
However months ago,as Shaya was in a tour with her students,a drunk driver hit the bus and made it go against a wall. The kids were rescued and she saved a boy just in time before the bus exploded. All were ok and she was honored by her valor, but she was assaulted with fears and thoughts about her near to fail attempt. It haunted her for long.
One day she met Dr Camilla Braden when she and her associate Dr Augusta Burnstein were part of a conference at the school Shaya was working on. Braden was a genetist and she exposed her idea of elevate the potential of the human body, turning it in super human. Those words made Shaya thing about and after the conference asked for a meeting with Dr Braden. Shaya confessed her she wanted to be stronger,like her role model, Franzy. Camilla wasnt a fan of Franzy, but was really taken by the interest and decision of the young woman,so agree to help her.
The time came when Shaya and Dr Braden traveled to the last high tech laboratory,builded on a mountain,much in the hollywoodesque fashion. It was very sophisticated and used drugs and special mushrooms genetically altered to overpower human cells and tissue.
Shaya agreed to be part of the experience and to be kept on the recint as much as Dr Braden decided it was safe for her.
What Shaya ignored was that Dr Braden used,apart from drugs and the mushroom, some cell samples taken from Franzy, after one of the giantess brutal battle against Molly Driller. Braden was used gene manipulation on that tissue and was waiting for a subject on which test it. At the beginning all was normal and Shaya felt like always, being a bit dissapointed. After a week she was feeling stronger and realized her clothes seemed to shrink, but it was her body the one who was growing in size and muscular mass. Shaya was in ecstasy, because her body was acquiring tremendous strentgh, endurance, and she was feeling more and more an equal to Franzy.
But Dr Braden had her own agenda and at some point decided to test Shaya to her limits and used a surprise attack from none other than Molly Driller. Much to Camilla`s amazement Shaya was able to deal with Molly and,like Franzy on her peak level, could beat her. However Camilla had a wild card on the person of Molly`s twin sister,Polly, whose strentgh was equal,if not more than Goticka. This time Shaya was beaten to a pulp by the powerhouse and Camilla was in no mood to save her, confessing that she was but a guinea pig and now it was time to be overwhelmed and her essence and energy would be absorbed for another use.
Shaya fought hard and when she was ready to surrender ,a brutal explosion destroyed great part of the laboratory. A new bolt of energy hit Polly and literally let her trapped inside a wall and unconscious. They were from the powerful Rigel,who was in company of Panthera, Sparrow, SilverShine and reluctanly-from Panthera`s decision- Franzy, who considered in part responsible of the events, and the stealth Dragonfly, partner of Sparrow and part time a member of the Sisterhood. Shaya was rescued and it was Dragonfly the one who captured Camilla, after knock her out with a solid uppercut.
Shaya felt ashamed and very grateful with the heroines. Panthera hurry to offer her to be part of the Sisterhood and then be able to aid people in danger and fight evildoers like Dr Braden. Shaya was glad to accept and became Guardian.
More to Panthera`s chagrin, Guardian favored to work alongside Franzy and Dragonfly a lot, but anyway Panthera was happy to have her on the Sisterhood.
