First piece of my little "game" ([link] )The word for this one was delicate suggested by ^RockstarVanity
When I read this word, the first thing which came to my mind was food, but I had no idea of what I should take a photo...till I saw that dead dragonfly on my TV (yes, I keep dead stuff on my TV)
There are some small cracks on the end of the wings, so I thought it would fit with the word and it's still somehow related to food...in a way...maybe

This is a great concept and I really love the originality. It definitely has a sense of brittle delicacy (in both senses of the word!). The chipped wing tips are just a great little detail which I think you captured very well!
While I absolutely am in love with the details on the wings, I feel that the depth of field should include a bit more of the dragonfly and the teeth. That's where most of the action is in this piece, in my opinion, and I think it would benefit from being in focus.
That aside, I think this is a very intriguing and original photograph! Great job!

You found it last summer and it's still...intact? Do bugs not decompose like other animals?

they don't when you let them dry-out. I found it dead in our swimming pool, took it out of the water and let it lay in the sun till it was dry. so no problem with decomposing
