Description
this is the first piece i have finished in a while, and dissapointingly im not satisfied.I know the contrats seems minimal, but in RL it doesnt look that unfinished..it's real subtle.

I agree. If you dont like it, that's fine, but you dont get noticed drawing stuff that people dont like. Every artist wants to be admired a little.

I love the "fleabites" across his neck and his regal stance; they're both very attractive and really capture the viewer's attention. However, I think you could put a bit more detail into the mane. It's simply not as lively and flowing as your usual and, while it doesn't detract from the image, it doesn't really do much for the illusion of movement, either. Just a thought...

well thankyou. I just dont know about his mane, in the ref. pic it is completely white and is translucinated by some light, so there is little detail. I know i can mimic the effect without some sort of bg, but i didnt want to guess without any guidlines bc i am very bad at that, haha. Ill think on it, but thanks so much for the tip.

Maybe you could just add some shading to the background.. Just a flat tone might bring out the mane some more, and make the subject stand out as a whole.

i was thuinking about it, but i dont want to put too much effort into something i dont care A whole lot abput and then risking messing it up even more. maybe in the future when i really dont have anything to lose, but since this is a fresh finished piece ill let it sit a while
