To start things off, Madman cannot believe if what is he seeing is true, but, he realized he had no other choice but to use the Spectral power to prove it (special eyes with it)

Betty wasn't sure what's going on with him, but, in a blink of an eye, he appeared right behind her
She tried to attack, but he was faster than the eye could see, taking advantage of the lowered guard

He grabbed the strings, blocking her movements, infused his energy into them and without hesitation, ripped them off and shattered them

Not believing the relief of freedom, "Amber" cried and silently thanked Madman before passing out! After that, he lifted her up, ignoring his injury, and opened a "dimensional crack" to leave his pocket dimension

I suppose I could explain a little:

At first, Madman was supposed to get rid of this threat, but the more and more they fought, he eventually discovered a dark truth behind this pink horror: his art of the Spectre kicked in, restoring his vision in the process, finding out that she's actually a remake of a forbidden spell, with a little girl as its "vessel"

He already knew what caused everything, but wasn't expecting to see a literal ghost tied up with strings and memories replaced (idk how to recycle this information... actually, I think I do, since I take the "SOULs" and "spirits" separate)

SOUL- the culmination of your very being, right? So that means it has all the memories of that said being! That also means the spirit is used as a puppet to move the "vessel" (its memories/what the actual spirit remembers/ not altered or changed) while the original memories from the SOUL were replaced with Agate's (if you watched Glitchtale origins and/or read the official wiki of it, which I haven't, it might make sense)

As on my latest drawings, Madman cared less about the SOUL, since everyone can see it basically, but more on the spirit due to him being dead as well
He's going to save the girl (or Amber) by "cutting" the strings and, automatically, the connection with the spell caster, but I'm not sure yet if this freedom will last
