Description
Are there any insect experts out there willing to help me out? I searched the internet far and wide for an ID, and the closest I found was Campsomeris plumipes. But this one does not seem to be hairy enough and lacks the silvery body. Its eyes are also pure black, which leads me to believe it is not that species. Scolia bicincta is a closer match for the body, but it only has two bands on the abdomen where this one has more. Its location is Florida, if that helps.Wasp on Spanish Needles (AKA Shepherd's Needles, Butterfly Needles, or Beggarticks [Bidens alba])

Nah. It's more interested in flowers than people.

I have to submit to the group or get an invite, though. DX
Thanks!
