Description
~For More Fem!Classes, Go Here!~------------------------
Here, y'all can haz another fem design because I had enough free time today to make two more. First, I did my second favorite class, Medic. :3
Don't ask why she's leaning precariously forward like that. For the sake of consistency and speed, I drew all of these from the original models in their ref poses and whoever modeled Medic posed him like that. I guess it's to counterbalance the Medipack, but IDK. :/
I'm still a fan of 's Fem!Medic. However, I don't think a skirt would be best for combat. Casual, non-combat, around-the-base medical work, sure. Just not in the field. So my Fem!Medic gets pants and boots just like her male counterpart.
I'm kinda having fun with these. Can you tell? LOL

The only differences between this and the default Medic seem to be the head and the addition of breasts- nothing about her costume, or more importantly her proportions have been changed. While the Medic's costume naturally gives him the appearance of hips that are slightly wider than his shoulders, it really should have been exaggerated for a female character, given the game's style. Additionally, the oversized hands do nothing to suggest a female shape, while they could have been left unrealistically large to fit it in with the game's style and still been more feminine. It seems lazy to have not considered encorporating any different costume elements or frills that might have said, "This is Medic, but a lady!" such as a different style of glasses or even the collar on her button-down shirt. A disappointment, considering the different styles of body shape and costume design that other artists have done with 'gender-bend' Team Fortress 2 fanart.

OK, I can definitely see what you're saying with a lack of differences and such. However, I wasn't particularly trying to be radically different; this is intended to be a true genderbend of the original Medic, not necessarily my OC or anything like that. I will certainly take into consideration widening the hips and feminizing the hands (on all my genderbends, not just this one), although I don't want to make any huge costume changes because it honestly just feels wrong to me when I see characters wearing particularly different clothing from the originals.
Thank you for giving me your opinion.

If you're just going for a straight gender swap, rather than worrying about really changing the costume, I can't knock on you for that. Making the figure a little more feminine will definitely improve the look, and make her appear more like a woman-Medic and less like a Medic with a different head.

I emphatically disagree with Yang who criticised this piece, I think that the fact she has the same costume is not only fantastic, but doesn't scream that hideous image most fems do of, "wow I'm not really capable of being a mercenary in a dress, tights, and high heels." Women should wear the same costume as their male counterparts, and I really quite like this.

Sorry for the late reply.
Thank you for understanding the practicality and recognition a fem gains from simply being dressed in the original uniform.

Of course! It's how I'd dress all my fems, possibly tweaking it here and there since they're not exactly gender bends but OCs. Like that lovely femscout you've got displayed on the front of your page! They can be feminine characters even, but the practicality of a skirt on field is just.. Not really all that great, I think. Even with tights.

While not especially original, I'll admit I usually prefer the more serious depictions of Medic, rather than being portrayed as a hot chick with a D-cup. This is actually how I envisioned the Fem!Medic for my fanfic. (Not that the other kind is BAD, but I prefer that as comedy).
Not particuarly original, but then again, nowadays everybody seems to think they're being original when they line up the characters from Inuyasha in Team Fortress 2 clothes and poses.

I suppose I failed to get across in my descriptions that I was not trying to be original, per se. I was simply trying to take the original mercs and transform them into females. Not make new characters that happen to be female, legitimately genderbend the guys. While I admit that I still failed somewhat in that they all still look pretty manly, I just kinda want to get my original intentions across.
Anyway, thank you for your input.

That actually looks very very good. For a minute there, I thought she looked like Bayonetta. Except she's not wearing a cat-suit made of her own cultivated armpit hair.

I rather like the concept. I'm a little tired of fem! tf2 characters that are frail and unpractical. This is a lot more believable (honestly, who runs in a skirt/heels!?).

Oh, thank you! Someone else agrees with me and the fact that skirts would be completely stupid in combat. I cosplayed female Medic at a con a month ago, and I did my hair almost exactly like that (except my bun wasn't high on my head).
I really like this design and I think it's realistic and awesome. I personally like the bun better than the other hairstyles I've seen for fem Medic~ I feel like it would be more practical to keep out of your face during combat. Though I guess the bangs might get annoying once in a while, but it's better than nothing. XD
Keep up the good work!

Yes, skirts definitely do not belong on the battlefield. Awesome. :3
Thanks! <3 Good to know that the bun works out. Now that you mention it, maybe the bangs are a little longer than need be. I needed something to replicate that little swirl of hair male Medic has, so that happened. LOL I might change it later, if it bugs me enough.

<3 Well, the little swirl is part of what makes Medic so unresistably charming, so it had to stay somehow.
