I like the vanilla legionnaires more because they are more lore friendly and realistic

They wouldn't be Caesar's Legion without the classic shields (It would be easy to repaint a riot shield in a post-apocalyptic world.)
I especial like how you made them look more like a force to be reckoned with. The whole re-purposed football gear thing was good, but not all the way there.

I have it on my PS3. So no luck there, and last year I accidentally reset my consoles settings so my saves where erased.
I believe I was nearing the final hoover dam battle as well and I was clearing up the side-quests.
So as you can imagine I was absolutely livid.

I can imagine. But the game is definitely worth a few playthroughs at least

It's a bit too futuristic for my taste, but it's really well done and I love the barechestedness!!!

Too futuristic? It's set over 250 years in the future!

It's too futuristic for a faction that is trying to emulate the Roman Empire.

Them again the Legion ar ekind of inconsistent that way. Vulpes used a nuclear device on Searchlight and Legion assasins use Plasma grenades.

You're certainly welcome to that opinion. I'm not trying to argue, but that is something I considered and here is my reasoning behind why I determined the armors are not too futuristic for my personal taste:
The Legion is not emulating the Roman Empire--they are simply following the commands of Caesar. We do not know how thorough his knowledge of the Roman Empire is, and we must believe that Caesar would balance his emulation of the Romans with armors and combat strategies that would not render the Legion obsolete as a militaristic threat in a world with guns, energy weapons, and power armors.
From a gaming standpoint, I think it is important to make the Legion tougher so that the player can either join a more respectable faction, or tackle a more significant enemy.
Plus I think it looks cooler
Thanks for the compliments again.

Incredibly impressive work! I'll keep an eye out for this. The other Legion remodel/retextures I've seen have disappointed me.

Thanks! I agree that other Legion mods have underwhelmed. I'm working hard on this though and expect it to turn out well.

There's a distinct lack of good Legion mods, end of story.
The other mod that I've found that changes the Legion uniforms, I felt, completely disregarded what the Legion stands for and the fact that their armor is a tribute to the society that they've based themselves upon. What you've done is respectful of that and is a big improvement on the vanilla versions.
So, again, well done!

Thanks again.
I've tried to stay true to the lore, but there are inconsistencies in official Fallout lore that made it difficult. If the Legion shuns all technology, why does Caesar have a power helmet in his personal footlocker? And why do the tougher enemies have weapons like ballistic fists, 12.7mm sub-machine guns, and at the dam battle they have marksman carbines and anti-material rifles. Furthermore, if they were just guys with machetes, they would be target practice for NCR rangers and little more.
To be the threat they are alleged to be, they need to be better equipped, more versatile in weaponry, and generally tougher. This mod aims to maintain the overall Legion aesthetic while doing my best to make them still look badass and intimidating.
It should be available on the nexus within the week.

Ah Fallout. How we love you for your inconsistencies! You do make an excellent point though.
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your mod!
