Here my first part for the 's contest for her fantastic comics Africa ^^ ------------> One Million Contest! Win awesome prizes!So that's Chui and Africa as kitten (no-no, that's not Binti and Mosi !) sitting on a giant termite mount to have a wiew on the surroundings : Chui has already a strong hunting instinct whereas Africa is a bit more thoughtless and curious (I don't think they met during their childhood but I wanted to draw Chui as kitten !)
like always, I made a mistake in writting AfriKa ... a bit hard to correct but now that's ok (thanks to photoshop !)
and for the one who looks closely, there are some wrong facial fur-marking too but I'm satisfied because the characters are well recognizable !I sadly don't have anymore my acrylics so it's full watercolor.
I'm looking forward to see what the other contesters have done

J'avoue que pour une fois la version finie est mieux que le brouillon (avec la peinture c'est plutot l'inverse en général !)

In other of my artwork there were daleks, the fez of the doctor and his screwdriver but no one seems to have seen it ^^

Where to begin!! Everything about this picture is simply stunning!
First off, the colours are gorgeous! I love the mixture of gold, green and brown, it really gives off the hot, light-filled feel of an African plain! And those bits of red and blue immediately set Chui and Africa apart, even before their gestures! I love your use of symbolism here! I especially love how there are much fewer herd animals on Chui's side, and the hint of human presence in the truck! While on Africa's side, the animals are more abundant and we can see Giza perched on a tree! Again, amazing symbolism to tell the two different stories of these characters, without a single word!
Moreover, the idea of showing them as cubs is so sweet! Their younger selves look so carefree, especially Africa! But deep within, we can already see aspects of their personalities that will shape them as adults.
Finally, your technique will never fail to amaze me! The way you use watercolours is gorgeous, especially on that clear sky and on the grass!! Grass in watercolor has got to be one of the hardest things to draw! D8<

First time I didn't make a comics as an entry for a contest ^^
I'm very honoured to participate at yours, you manage to draw regulary for 2 comics (3 with azarian's story) with traditionnal stuff, find the time to answer to your fans and even have the K. Fedewa's respect ! so I'm very glad you like it !
and I'm glad you see fast all my allusions too, because actually nothing is a coincidence, the colors, the life (refear to Mosi and Binti) vs the death, even the birds on the left side, which are a dark omen (even if Chui is just acting like the others males of his kind, that's the deep reallity of the life) !
just for the blue box on the left, it was an allusion to the TV serie "Doctor who" but I didn't thought to interpret this way, great !
Watercolors are not easy indeed, I have to change a bit the original draft because of some little mistakes ^^
I still have my 2 others entries to make, hope you will like it too, first time I will draw the chakras heroes, how exiting

Honnêtement je ne sais pas, j'avoue que je suis content du résultat car les persos sont ressemblant (en plus j'ai pas trop l'habitude avec ce genre de félins) mais faut voir ce qu'il y aura en face
Ah ! tu l'as remarqué ^^ oui il y' a bien une cabine téléphonique bleue ! c'est une référence à docteur Who et au TARDIS si tu connais, j'ai mis des clins d’œil dans tout mes derniers artwork et t'es la première à m'en parler, c'est bien ça prouve que tu es observatrice !
en tout cas merci pour ton soutient, j’espère que tu aura le temps de dessiner une entrée et que tu auras ta place sur le podium ! si jamais tu as le temps penses aussi à Azarian story : sleight of hand (je viens seulement de la lire, honte à moi ^^), y'a pas l'air d'avoir beaucoup d'entrée et c'est un univers intéressant qui semble tenir à cœur à l'auteure

Et puis j'adore, l'un des deux est en train de bouffer un oiseau et l'autre joue avec un papillon et tout ça en gardant la pose x)

C'est mon artwork pour la première partie du concours de Arwen92, et va y a voir du monde ! si ça t’intéresses tu peut jeter un œil à sa BD Africa ! en fait il s'agit de léopards à l'origine mais comme toi je trouve qu'ils ressemblent plus à des guépards, du aux proportions ^^

oui, ça vaut le coup, c'est traité de façon assez réaliste tout en gardant un aspect comics !
C'est vrai qu'en dehors des taches on dirait des guépards, comme quasiment tout mes félins, c'est la première remarque que je me suis fais quand j'ai vu mon scan ^^
