Erm...a waifu is like when you take a fictional character and think in your head about her like she is your wife in real life....
Some ppl go so far they can even buy merchandise like big pillows big their image printed to sleep with them hugging it, or put their image on "still" mode on a TV and have dinner with them (they also put food in front of the television for them) The most crazy ones go so far they even use a wedding ring all the time as a signal their are actually married to their fav character (I'm not joking, google waifu if you want to confirm all this shit)
