Personally, I didn't like Fennekin very much, I think foxes are rather overused in PokΓ©mon. But I really liked Chespin and Froakie.

Snivy was pretty cool, he's who I picked in White. My favorite grass starter is probably.. Bayleaf.

I hate Piplup, I think he's the worst water type. My favorite water starter is Totadile.

As for fire, Cyndaquil was the best. He's amazing, equally amazing is Charmander, though.

I love these starters! Especially Fennekin. And the legendaries shown look pretty bad-ass too. If the rest of the new pokemon are as good I think these could be some of the best pokemon we've seen since gen. 3. I'm definitely buying a 3DS to play this game!

all starters have their strong point. these guys look like they might be the start of a whole new trio of types. maybe they will all be part dark fighting and psychic, that would be super intresting. oh please please don't let this sweet little fire type be the part fighting, that would break my heart

I like these starters, and even though its very far away from being released, I already like it WAAAAY better than Gen 5. I just really don't like Oshawott or Vanillish,or any other Gen 5 Pokemon really...

I view gen 3 to have the best starters quality wise and gen 5 has my personal favorite.
