Cubism FTW!
The first panel is supposed to show a person playing a board game. Err, the shadow in the top left cornet is another person sitting cross-legged... kinda hard to tell.

Second panel (blue) depicts a close-up view of the chess player's arm. 4"x5"---------------------
Third panel is a close-up of the hand holding a game piece. 4"x4"That's about it.

You know, I only recently saw that it was an image of two people playing chess... I got that from the far-away view. The title makes more sense now. The upper left image looks like a detail of the arm but I don't know what the bottom right one is of.
Shows how much I see when I look at artwork. I tend to look at the details more.

I have an awful tendency to overlook descriptions of artwork. I'm relieved I didn't miss it this time.
