While this piece is much better executed and refined compared to the first piece, in terms of detail and colour. I personally have to agree with a few other comments on saying the first figure had a lot more character. This one seems to accentuate the more wolf-like features of the creature in it's expression, which is nice and cute. But the older one in fusing both reptilian and mammalian elements, coupled with it's imposing glare made it seem larger then life and more otherworldly.
Again, this only boils down to my own opinion. Having followed you for up to 8 years, you still impress me with your fantastic work! Keep it up!

Gonna be 100% with you: I like the old one better. Sleeker design which still emanated power, whereas this one seems a little more... on-the-nose, I guess. The expression is somewhere between angry and playful (based on the eyes and mouth), and the composition of the picture itself just seems a lot busier (which isn't inherently bad, but in comparison it suffers a little). So, while this is excellent artwork, I'm voting for the older one. Just personal opinion though.

I really like both versions - this one is definitely more detailed and smooth

well while the new one looks technique wise much better, refined and detailed,
the other one has more... character I just really like the slim and more intimidating
expression of the first one - but thats more of an personal opinion.
the new one definitely captures more parts of the wolf than the old one, which is not
a bad thing, like I said this one looks much more detailed and its definitely an improvement.
I just prefer the old ones design for beeing rather dragon than wolf.
so long story short, I prefer the old design, but the new one has a much better quality c:

Por qué te gusta más el antiguo? Tiene mejor silueta quizás? Qué es lo que no te gusta de este? Ayúdame a mejorar XD

Bueno no soy muy dada a las críticas y ni de cerca soy experta así que lo siento si está un poco desordenado o confuso.
En cuanto a técnica ambos están muy bien, éste incluso mejor (más detallado el pelaje y los cuernos, y mejores contrastes en cuanto a iluminación) Simplemente me gusta más el otro por diseño, quizás porque se ve más reptiliano mientras que éste se ve más "fluffy" (o quizás el factor nostalgia me juega malas pasadas 
Cosas que me gustan de éste diseño: La gema de la cabeza, y la cola al fondo. También el nivel de detalle que has incorporado, por ejemplo en las diferentes texturas en cuernos, alas, pelaje y la lengua (la lengua está genial)
Cosas que no me gustan: Creo que en cuanto a composición, para un póster, podría estar más centrado, aunque añadiste los pájaros volando a la derecha me da la sensación de que la fuerza de la imagen queda descompensada y se ve un gran vacío en la zona derecha de la imagen. También creo que el nivel de definición (renderizado, lo llaman?) de ciertas partes choca un poco. La gema se ve super bien detallada y trabajada, cosa que es razonable porque supongo quieres que sea el principal foco de atención de la imagen. Pero creo que éste nivel de definición no está en armonía con el pelaje, especialmente la zona del hombro. Si comparo el pelaje del hombro, con el de la parte trasera de la cabeza parece que la textura fuese diferente, se ve muy suave y fluffy en el hombro y más como pelo duro y áspero en la parte trasera.
Bueno no sé si ayudará mucho, pero ahí lo dejo. Vuelvo a repetir que, por supuesto, éste está fantástico también, pero principalmente por tema de diseño me agradó más el anterior

Dices que no eres dada a las criticas, pero este es precisamente el tipo de feedback que necesitaba, me es utilísimo! A veces necesito la opinión de otros, porque ni siquiera mi propio dibujo de acaba de convencer, pero no sé por qué. Y concuerdo al 100% con tu comentario. Muchísimas gracias! Trataré de incorporarlo en el próximo dibujo
