Description
From PinocchioOkay, I have a confession to make. I have an irrational fear of whales. Like I said, it's an irrational fear, meaning that I have absolutely no idea why I'm afraid of whales. If it were just limited to the types of whales with teeth like Orcas or Sperm Whales, then maybe it would make sence, but no.... I'm also afraid of the baleen whales too.
As for Monstro... I honstly think he is the reason for this. I don't think any other Disney movie villan scared me as much... And hey... that's saying something since I thought the demon from Fantasia was just plain cool-looking even as a kid.
Anyway, I promise that from here on out I'll be doing some more monsterous creratures and my art will be of better quality.
Monstro and The Adventures of Pinocchio are the intelectual properties of Carlo Collodi... and possibly Disney inc.

When I was a kid I was both frightened and fascinated by Monstro. Not entirely sure why, but it was mostly the latter. The former because I thought it was just gonna outright kill them right then and there - the fact they actually survived the initial encounter sort of softened the impact.
Stuff that frightened me more was like the Disney film Anastasia (I think that's the name), and a few scenes from The Black Cauldron.
I pitied Maleficent more than I feared her (especially after the shapeshifted), but came to find her awesome once she showed up in Kingdom Hearts years later.

Say your prayers Orcas! (As a child, Monstro scared me so much, as did Ursula and Maleficent.)

Actually, I wasn't very fond of Ursula and Maleficent as a child either. Same with Cruella Deville (Of course, she's actually the least dangerous of the Disney villians).
Of course if all whales on earth were as aggressive as Monstro, I don't think humans would have ever been able to explore the ocean. Tha and Sharks would have been whiped off the face of the earth.

Monstro! The worst Disney Villain of all!
And by worst, I mean in a good way.

Yeah, really. Sometimes, it's the simpilest concepts that make the most terrifying villians.

Well, it's diffrent if it's drawn or a cartoony whale. But I will get chills from seeing pictures and a realistic sculpture will put me into a nervous breakdown (You should have seen me at the meuseum of natural history's marine mamal exibit.)
And actually, I kind of like sperm whales anyway. Plus, it's not as bad now as it was years ago.

More than likely. I can't think of any other reason why.

Actually, I had a friend who was afraid of frogs too, so it's not too uncommon.
I'm also afraid of wasps (but for a good reason) and when I was younger, I was deathly afraid of most bugs (This thankfully deminished with age, which is a good thing since I live in Florda, home of three-foot grasshoppers and water beetles that can kill pit-bulls)

Lol, its mostly just large frogs and toads that scare me. Small ones I have not problem with. Bullfrogs and the like creep me out, and cain toads (I am for any and all methods of dealing with this invasive species, humane or inhumane, they don't belong in the US and Australia anyway so why give a damn? They are killing the gators! Only time I have ever heard that an invasive species did very little damage or in fact seemed to help are the chameleons in Hawaii, they only seem to provide predators with more food and don't incringe much on those of others, its like they aren't even there.). Don't know what it is about some ampbhibians, I've always been scared that a Siren is gonna let out a shrill scream if I ever got near one [link] I heard once that they did, I kow (or at least pretty sure) now that they really don't but its a deep childhood fear thats pretty ground in there. I use to play with worms when I was a child, but now I won't go near them, oddly enough.

Well, honestly anyone who sees anything long and streamline becomes overly cautious. You never know what it can do until you identify it.
As for Sirens, they are called Sirens fro a reason, they do make a little bit of noise; but it's for mateing pourposes; and it's actually a rather plesent humming noise. You can actually feel them vibrate when you pick them up.
Florida does have a species of frog that screams like a banshee when threatened though. (My friend fed one to his pet snake, I swear to god it made a noise that sounds like a woman screaming.

Thats the kind of noise I was afraid of it making, actually it was more of the scream a Xenomorph can make I was afraid of coming from such a small animal. And after I posted that I did some research to see if it was true. And geeze, that sounds like something I would not like to be around.
