My diamond

What would you do, if you find a diamond, but you mustn't bend down for it,
because it doesn't permit it?
And it's even more gorgeous, even more calling you, and even more are
passing by it, but it doesn't want you to bend down for it.
You're just standing above it and guarding it, because you can't do anything else
until it doesn't permit, and you're even more jealous, because its splendour glows
every passers-by, but you just brook it, until it doesn't want you to pick it.
And you're just waiting patiently, lessening in every minute,
but your hope to 'once it will want it' is sparkling there still.

I have a diamond like this, it's even shinier from minute to minute, its semitransparent
shape is even more alluring, its refraction makes me inquiring.
And so my diamond doesn't want me to bend down and pick it, and the more are
passing by it, all the more my fear is growing that I'll lose it.
I'm just guarding, trying to protect it, covering from the others, but vainly; expecting the
moment, when at last it wants me to stow it away into the safest place: the heart of me.
But the time elapses even more, my hope is even sorer, because it's even calling me,
but doesn't permit me to be close to it.

My hope hasn't fallen off yet but my energy, I can now hardly keep my eyes on it.
Its shine is even more aching, my jealousness is even firmer,
its void place in my heart is even more stinging.
The place I've set apart for it won't be given to any other,
if it won't be mine, its blank will last then still.
I don't require anything else, it's the onlything I want, so I'm standing still above it
protecting, regarding it, hoping that once at last it will be free to me to pick it.
